Sherwood Design Engineers supported a successful entitlement process for a new lodging facility associated with the well known Farmstead restaurant in St. Helena, CA. Approvals for the 50 key facility required working closely with the town to ensure supporting infrastructure is adequate to support the project and future demands in the area. New public improvements include a long-needed city storm drain upgrade, improved intersection and road alignment, and the installation of a new stretch of recycled water line to service Crane Park and other facilities, reducing the demand on St. Helena’s potable water system.
The new lodging facility includes guest rooms, a spa and swimming pool, a multi-purpose facility with a farm table dining experience, supporting circulation and infrastructure, and an operating farm to supply produce to the adjacent restaurant.
Public improvements are scheduled to start in summer 2021 with lodging sitework starting in 2022.
