Sherwood Design Engineers collaborated with Gensler and SWA Group on the planning of a high-density waterfront development in Bangalore, India. The mixed-use development will feature 1,000 residential units, 5 million square-feet of high-tech commercial space, and 1 million square feet of retail. Designed to achieve LEED-ND Platinum rating, Sherwood helped design net-zero water strategies and on-site power generation for the dense site, and proposed a unique wastewater treatment wetland to serve as a pilot program for regional restoration of Bangalore’s historic lake system.
