Sherwood worked with Kieran Timberlake to develop a comprehensive stormwater master plan for the existing campus and the universities planned future growth. The campus is located within the existing 100 year floodplain and for this reason required a design that evaluated compensatory storage requirements, drainage effects due to proposed grading and existing infrastructure integration/considerations. Sherwood worked closely with the campus planners and design team to create a master plan that integrated flooding hierarchy and water quality improvement measures throughout the campus landscape. These techniques helped to create a high performance, resilient site with strategies that blended with the existing and future buildings and circulation patterns of the campus.
