Sherwood 15th Anniversary Benefit

On September 27th, 2018, the Mission’s iconic Foreign Cinema restaurant welcomed a new neighbor, Sherwood Design Engineers to the Mission District of San Francisco. The two will share a fence, but they also share many values. Established leaders in their fields, Sherwood marks its 15th year in business, while Foreign Cinema mark its 19th. Both entities share a history of community service and are excited to join creative forces to celebrate and foster the diversity and beauty of the Mission. The event benefit supported The Women’s Building, and its mission of advocating “self-determination, gender equality and social justice.” Inspired by the majestic mural covering The Women’s Building, we will be commissioning one for our own walls, and part of the evening’s proceeds will go toward a meaningful piece influenced by the art community of the Mission.

Festivities included:

Food and Libations catered by FOREIGN CINEMA

Live Performances by GREGANGELO & VELOCITY ARTS CIRCUS, and THE EXTRA ACTION MARCHING BAND

Art Show by local artists CARMEN MCNALL and MAX MARTILLA, and

A Visit by THE SISTERS OF PERPETUAL INDULGENCE
