June 2016 – Sherwood staff spent a weekend volunteering with GRID Alternatives in Willits, California to install 13 solar panels on the roof of the home of a low-income family. This two day installation included the entire installation of all 13 panels, which will provide the majority of the family’s electricity needs.

GRID Alternatives’ vision is a successful transition to clean, renewable energy that includes everyone. Our mission is to make renewable energy technology and job training accessible to underserved communities.
