Andrea McEachran

Andrea’s expertise lies in sustainable water resources management, focusing on areas such as stormwater master planning, floodplain management, green infrastructure design, and site design. She frequently employs 1D and 2D modeling techniques to assess flood risk and ensure project viability. Prior to working in consulting, Andrea conducted research at Iowa State University that advanced the understanding and design of saturated buffers—an agricultural conservation practice that improves water quality. Her notable contributions include co-authoring three published articles in the Journal of Environmental Quality. Andrea’s dedication to sustainability is rooted in her appreciation for the outdoors, inspiring her commitment to preserving ecosystems and their connections to future generations.

Fun Facts: Andrea has spent most of her life living in Iowa, but still says “cows” every time she drives past them. During the warm months, she enjoys hiking, biking, and kayaking. During the cold months, she enjoys playing board games, watching stand-up comedy, and visiting local restaurants.
