She frequently employs 1D and 2D modeling techniques to assess flood risk and ensure project viability. Prior to working in consulting, Andrea conducted research at Iowa State University that advanced the understanding and design of saturated buffers—an agricultural conservation practice that improves water quality. Her notable contributions include co-authoring three published articles in the Journal of Environmental Quality.
