Charitie Ropati
Charitie Ropati received a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Columbia University with a focus on Water Resources Engineering and concentrations in Earth & Environmental Engineering and Anthropology. Originally from Alaska, she advocates on behalf of her Native community with land stewardship, water rights & stem equity issues at the national and international level. She has keynoted at the Partnership Forum at UNESCO in NYC last year on behalf of her community. She is incredibly passionate about building water and wastewater infrastructure for climate vulnerable communities.This past summer she had the opportunity to work at a Indigenous non-profit and helped provide Indigenous communities throughout Alaska, with water and wastewater service.
Fun Facts: Charitie spends much of her time outside of her work, hiking & going outdoors. During the summer, she participates in a subsistence lifestyle where she catches salmon with her family, picks berries from the tundra, and walks the coastal trail back home in Alaska.
