Joseph Nordlinger
Founder of The Ascent Services Group in 2002 which became one of the 30 largest Technology and Life Sciences staffing and consulting firms in North America with nearly 1200 employees. Joseph is a nationally recognized executive leader with over 22 years of professional experience in Contingent Workforce Management and Strategy, Corporate Leadership, Change Management, Employee Engagement and Strategic Communications. In addition to decades of experience in Professional Services Leadership, Joseph is also a seasoned community leader in Organizational and Capacity Planning related to Wildland Fire Resiliency. His experience includes eight years in leadership roles within Napa and Sonoma County’s Fire Safety Communities, including seven years as a Volunteer Firefighter with Dry Creek Lokoya Station 16, six years as the President of the Mount Veeder Fire Safe Council and five years as the Interim President and then Vice President/Grants for Napa Firewise. Joseph led and participated in a successful effort to re-organize and transform the mission of Napa Firewise to substantially expand the range of services it provides which transformed its posture to become the lead agency for fire mitigation in Napa County. Joseph has led and contributed to much of the grant writing efforts for Napa County, helping to secure millions of dollars from Cal Fire, Cal Fire Safe Council, and PG&E for fuel reduction and community outreach initiatives. He has also played pivotal roles in stakeholder facilitation for numerous Community Wildfire Prevention Plans, Fire Risk Assessments, Master Resiliency Plans for Estates and Communities, and Community Outreach and Education efforts. Joseph is a capable organizational and community leader who listens carefully and helps disparate audiences to align around shared objectives and achieve them.
